libifp-dev software package provides communicate with iRiver iFP audio devices (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libifp-dev
libifp-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libifp-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libifp-dev *
You will get with libifp-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
